Eraser tool
- [Instructor] The eraser tool is a great way to delete geometry, objects and guidelines from your model. Activate the eraser by clicking on this eraser icon here or the letter E on your keyboard. You can erase an edge by clicking and releasing on it or clicking and dragging your cursor across an edge. You'll notice that once I erase an edge on this cube the face also disappears because that edge was coplanar around the face holding it in. The cube on the right is part of a group and if I select it using my select tool, you can see the blue wrapper around it. I explained groups a bit more in another video but in short, this wrapper holds that geometry together. So if I click, use my eraser to click and drag across any of these edges, the entire group is deleted. It's important to note that an eraser does not erase faces.
