- [Instructor] Now, you can continue to work on your image and adjust it however you want, paint in additional foreground or background elements, but there will come a point where you will want to finalize your image. Now, for this image, we're going to finalize it by adding in a little bit of texture and then softening that foreground. So the first thing I want to do is actually soften up the foreground of the image. If you'll notice, we've got a lot of grass here, and that's actually pretty strong. So I want to kind of fade that out a little bit, make it look a little bit more painterly. So I'm going to zoom out, and let's just go ahead and add in another layer over the top and paint that white. Go ahead and do New Layer. Let's just call this Soften. And then I'm just going to select out some area that I want to soften. So I'm going to use my polygonal lasso tool, you can basically do this however you want.
