First-person navigation
- [Narrator] Up to this point, we've been navigating using the mouse wheel. Dragging the mouse wheel to orbit and rolling the mouse wheel to zoom. This system is very intuitive and it's great when you're modeling and it gives you a bird's eye perspective on what you're making, but it leaves something to be desired in terms of navigating around in an interior. We can kind of fake how it would look if we were in this kitchen by carefully orbiting into a specific view. Zooming in, and maybe holding down the Shift key and dragging the mouse wheel to pan. So this particular image looks okay, but then if I wanna move around in the kitchen and say go around on the other side of the island, it's very challenging. If I roll the mouse wheel, I end up looking at something like the back of the cabinet. Fortunately, SketchUp has a first person navigation system built in. I'll show you how to use it next.
