Hiding edges in adjacent groups

- [Instructor] This model is organized into different groups and components. I have one group for the floors and the walls, one for the gable, and two linked components for the ceiling. As I work on the space and present it, I would like to keep the gable and the walls separate, but appear as one. I don't want the edge between the two to show. I can't simply delete the edge because it is holding in the faces of the wall and the gable, so instead I'll hide it. But I'll need to do this within each group. So first, I'll double-click into my wall group. I can either right-click on the edge and choose Hide, or I can use my eraser tool plus a modifier key. If I activate my eraser tool and then look in the lower left-hand corner, I can see that Shift=Hide as an option. So I'll go ahead and hold down the Shift key and then click and drag it across that edge. That edge is hidden, but I'm still seeing the edge in the top gable,…
