- [Instructor] Although SketchUp provides us with a library of textures, sometimes it can be helpful to bring in a texture from an external source, maybe we have a very specific material that we're specifying in a project or maybe we're just not happy with the options that SketchUp is providing. So, in that case, we'll need to bring in a image and to do that, we're going to import it but first I need to make sure that I have access to the face that I am applying it to. So, I need to make sure that I'm double clicked into the group, in this case, I'm going to apply a siding material to this building, so I'm going to double click using my select tool and make sure that I have access to the faces and edges and I do, so I'm going to go ahead and import it. And to do that, I'll do to File, Import, and once you find your texture image, you need to make sure that you have access to it. In this case, mine is grayed out, so under Format, I need to change it from SketchUp Files to either JPEG…
