Importing DWG and DXF files into Revit
- [Instructor] So chapter 3-02. We are going to import the DWG and DXF files we've created in the previous lesson. I'm using 2017 Revit. So, if you've got an earlier version then you won't be able to open up this file. So just open up your own project. I'm also using the metric template not the imperial one. So, when we insert these use autodetect and it should pick up the correct units. We're on the architecture tab currently and we're in layer zero. So we need to flick over to the insert tab. And I'm also going up to my quick access toolbar. And I'm going to click on this icon the default 3D view. And we'll bring them into this environment. So then on the Import CAD panel. We click on the Import CAD button. And we're going to browse to chapter three. And there's two files in there that we're going to use. The Beach Hut.dwg. And then, if we use the files of type. And change that to DXF. Then we'll see the Beach Hut.dxf one as well. So, we might as well start with this one as we've…
