Importing the desk
- [Instructor] So Chapter 05-02, we're going to import our desk. That was the desk that was completed in Chapter 04-06 really, Color by Layer. Now if you have access to the exercise files, you will find this in the Chapter 05 folder, but we're not going to bring it into the project environment that we have here. We need to insert it into a family. So on the application button, we want to create a new family and we're going to use the Furniture. Not the Furniture System, but the Furniture template. Now, I'm using the metric system, but if you're using imperial then just click on the imperial version and then open that. Now, mine says Family2 because I had opened up a family previously. Yours might say Family1 or a different family number. It matters not because we'll be saving it as a specific file anyway, but the first thing we need to do is to insert our CAD file.
