Inserting appliances and fixtures

- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to insert some real world appliances and fixtures from the 3D warehouse. To begin with, let's measure the width of the refrigerator. Use the tape tool, and click two points across the width. And we see in the tool tip that it says 36 inches. Okay, let's keep that in mind. I'll erase this massing model of the refrigerator, and then click on this icon to open the 3D warehouse interface. I'll type in 36 inch refrigerator. There are many real world models in here from a variety of manufacturers. They supply the models into the 3D warehouse. I'll click this Genn Air 36 inch refrigerator, and click okay. I'll place it here on the ground. Notice that this automatically created a layer called appliances that this is on. And this is going to vary. Each manufacturer might use different layers, so you have to kind of be aware of what layers are created as you insert components.
