- [Instructor] When it comes to outputting high quality images from any render engine that we may want to use, one thing that we typically have to acknowledge is that a lot of the quality, a lot of the power and functionality found in our engine of choice still comes from the materials and maps that have been written specifically for it, which is why V-Ray for SketchUp installs with a number of its own material and map types, all of which have been designed to help us quickly, and easily recreate complex materials. Of course, we don't need to use all of the material and maps available to us on every, single project, but given that familiarity with the options available can open up creative possibilities for us. What we want to do now is spend the next few videos familiarizing ourselves with the various material types that are available in V-Ray Next, all of which can be found via the add asset button and materials fly…
