Make your own template for a great start
- [Instructor] When you start SketchUp, you'll be prompted to choose a template and can click the heart icon and that will become your default template, so every time you go to file new, it will start up with this SketchUp file. These all work well, but we can take it a step further and set ourselves up with scenes, styles, and section cuts already in place in every project we start. These are the settings that can feel a bit tedious to put into place each time we work through a project, so let's open our template SketchUp file. This model is going to be deleted before we save the template. It's just a dummy model that we can scrap later. Your default template may end up looking different than mine. You can use settings that work well for your workflow. First, I'd like to set up my layers, so I'll open my layers window and every project starts with a layer zero, but I'm going to add some that I use in every single…
