Making groups

- [Instructor] Grouping geometry is an important part of a good SketchUp workflow. It gives geometry a protective barrier or wrapper around it so that nothing else can stick to it. For example, if I draw a cabinet here and I decide that I'd like to move it, I can select it and move it away from the wall, and you can see that it's causing quite a sticky mess. So what I need to do is to group the walls together before I draw the cabinet so that they don't stick to the cabinet. To group these walls, I'll first need to select all of the geometry. I can either use a select tool selection box to draw all the way around it to select everything, or I can triple click anywhere on the walls. One, two, three, selects all of the loose touching geometry. Either way, we need all of the walls, edges, and faces to be blue. Now to group it together, I can right-click and choose Make Group.
