The Move tool
- [Instructor] The move tool allows us to move objects like this coffee table. You can activate the move tool by clicking on this icon here, or tapping the letter M on your keyboard. Now, when I hover over an object, it highlights, letting me know that I'm about to move that object. I'd like to move the coffee table. So, I'm going to go ahead and click on the coffee table, and begin to move it around my drawing area. A common frustration is that when I'm moving something, it seems to have a quicksand like effects on it, moving it below the ground plane. So, there are a couple of ways to avoid this. I'm going to go ahead and tap my escape key to let go of the coffee table. And I'm going to be more strategic about where I grab this. So the first step in avoiding this is to pre-select something.
