- [Instructor] So there we have it, we spent just over four hours on the modeling bit, and that's not including you positioning all the furniture and working out some of the extra bits yourself, but I hope you've managed to get something out of this. It's not so much about the design of the project, but it's the way you work inside of SketchUp. I know there's an awful lot of plug-ins out there that would help a lot of people in many, many ways, and they are fantastic, but understanding the basics of the software, and making sure it works for you and not fighting against it, that's absolutely the most vital part of using this. Now, I see students using a software pretty badly on a daily basis, and a couple of pointers in the right direction, and especially using things like Outliner, making components or groups, and using the layers, that almost instantly improves the quality of their work, and then they can be far more productive with their time.
