The Outliner window

- [Instructor] Oftentimes, Sketchup users will want to organize their models, and give everything a name, and give everything a hierarchy. For this, it's helpful to use the Outliner window. If you're on a PC, you'll find that in the default tray on the right-hand side. And Mac users, you'll have to open it under Window, Outliner. For this model, we can see that there are already some names given to things in this model. If I select a few titles in the Outliner window, I can see that the corresponding entity becomes selected in my drawing area. If I double-click on that title, I can see that I'm now working within that group. If this has any nested groups, I can use the arrow key on the left-hand side to now select the nested groups. To change the name of a group within the Outliner, like this one, which is just named Group currently, which is the default, I can select it, and then click on it once more to change the name.
