- [Instructor] Before we go ahead and save the render elements that we have chosen to disk, there is one more element that I would like to add here seeing as it's use may not be obvious to newer users, given that it's name in the render elements UI is extra texture. The purpose of the extra texture element, is to produce a render of the entire scene with just a single texture mapped onto all objects present, be this a bitmap or a procedural texture such as dirt or curvature. One common use of the extra texture element and one that I think we mentioned earlier being to use the dirt map in order to create an ambient occlusion pass, something that I want to quickly do here. Back in the render elements roll out then, let's add an extra texture element, click on the map button for the texture slot and then chose the dirt map from the browser that now pops up.
