Paste in place

- [Instructor] Using groups in SketchUp helps keep our model organized and easy to edit. However, sometimes I forget to double click onto a group with my Select Tool, before adding geometry that was intended to be drawn within the groups wrapper. In this case, I forgot to double click into this group before adding in this window. This window is meant to be drawn directly onto this face so that I can create an opening. But because it was drawn outside of the group, it's not interacting with the geometry next to it. So instead of deleting this, and redrawing it again within the group, I can use SketchUp's Paste in Place function. In this case, I can double click on the window. Go to edit, cut, or use the shortcuts and that will put the window into SketchUp's clipboard. Now I can double click into my intended group which is this wall group, so that I'm editing the group. I'm going to go back to edit and choose Paste in Place.…
