Pipeline decisions
- [Instructor] One decision that will need to be made early on in the life of a project, and certainly one that we would want to make before getting into any serious work inside of SketchUp and V-Ray, would be the choice of post-production pipeline that we're going to want or need to use, including the choice of compositing approach that we will want to take. Well, we know in our case that we are going to be making use of V-Ray render elements inside of SketchUp, seeing as they are, after all, the subject of this chapter, but what we will also need to decide is the way in which we will want to use them. You see, if we only have time on a project to, say, apply some basic color corrections, add some color grading, and then finish things off with some 2D motion blur or depth of field, then it doesn't really make sense to settle, store, and possibly even have to recombine lots of render elements if we know for a fact that we're…
