Protractor tool
- [Instructor] The protractor tool is great for measuring angles and creating guidelines at an angle. Activate the protractor tool by clicking on the tools drop down menu, and then protractor. So protractor will appear on your cursor and as you move it around your model, it will align with the different faces. Let's measure the angle of the roof on the exterior of this house. So you can find an end point or some point along the line here. I'm going to go ahead and just use this midpoint. And if you're having trouble aligning it with the face that you'd like it to align with you can use your arrow keys. So the right arrow is aligning it with a red axis. The left is green and the up arrow aligns it with the blue axis. For this model I'd like it to align with the green axis. So I'm going to hit the left arrow to lock that in.
