- [Instructor] In chapter 8, we are going to look at some of the ways in which you can send content from Revit into SketchUp. Now, whatever the reason is that you want to do that, Revit is very good at doing roofs very quickly. Also, you can knock up a very basic house in no time at all. It's not the best at rendering, whereas V-Ray for SketchUp is probably a much better way to visualize. So there might be legitimate reasons why you want to take a Revit model and put it into SketchUp. There are a few ways in which you can do it. And the IFC route is one of them. That's Industry Foundation Classes, specifically if you want to categorize things for bin classification. Alternatively, there's a DWG and a DXF route. And specifically with the DWG route, it's whether you export as a ACIS solid or a Polymesh.
