Revit plan vs. group from Slice

- [Instructor] In Chapter 08-03, we'll be bringing in a floor plan and seeing how that differs from a Group From Slice function that you can do inside of SketchUp, so we'll bring the floor plan in first. So, File, Import, and then we'll choose this one, which is a Revit sketch up, a floor plan and under the options, check those: Merge Coplanar and Millimeters, OK and Import. This is a much quicker import. It brings it to the same, sort of, relative position. Let's drag it out and let's have a little look at what we've got. So, it picks up the lines, it down pipes the windows, it's got the four sconces, it's even picked up these layers which may or may not be a benefit. But you do get, also, these lines here which is a door and the swing, not the full door thickness but the symbolic lines that are generated in Revit from a family, if they're included, of course.
