- [Instructor] So Chapter 7.06 we are now going to separate off the river from the ground and we just use this thing split surface. So it's probably going to be easier if we either go in to a site view or a top view of the 3D. Let's go into the site view. And this is set to hidden lines so we'll go to consistent colors. So before we split our surface, we'll just go over to the manage tab and come to this little magnet icon. This is it's snap settings, click on that. And if we just turn off the snaps so it has SO as a keyboard shortcut, say okay to that, that's going to make life a little bit easier for us, then we go back to our massing on site tab and split surface, we'll select this surface and zoom in a bit on this line and I'll choose the spline tool to give us a slightly sort of smoother curve and now it's no longer snapping at 90 degrees so it's just going to give us a little bit more freedom.
