Standard camera views
- [Instructor] Sometimes, it can be helpful to align the view of our model so that it is directly aligned with each axis. These views are called standard camera views, and they can be found in the dropdown menu camera, standard views. The options are top, bottom, front back, left right, and isometric. On a Mac, there are also shortcuts for these, which are Cmd + 1, through 7. On a PC there are no preset shortcuts for standard camera views. These views are helpful when we need to create orthographic drawings of our model, because they are perfectly aligned with each axis. For example, if I click on the front view, and then I go back to my camera dropdown options here, and I switch from perspective to parallel projection, I now see an elevation view of my model. This view isn't as helpful when we begin orbiting around the model, and to continue 3D modeling. As you can see, it becomes a bit distorted, so I'll need to…
