Tape Measure tool

- [Narrator] The tape measure tool is a multi-functional tool that will allow you to measure, set guidelines, and resize models. To measure anything in your model, you can activate the tape measure by clicking on this icon here, it's an icon of a tape measure, or the letter T as a keyboard shortcut. You could measure a few different ways. You can hover over an edge to see a yellow box appear with the edge length. The same is true for faces with information on the square footage. If you'd like to know the distance between two points, you can click and release on a starting point, and either hover over another point or click and release to see it in the measurements box in the lower right-hand corner. Oftentimes it's helpful to create a guideline, like the line that just appeared here. It's a dashed line. In SketchUp, there are guidelines and there are guide points.
