- [Instructor] One of the projects I used to set the engineering students was to design for me a survival hut and they were given a load of bits and pieces to make their life a little bit easier but they had to configure them into a suitable hut. Now all the bits that I gave them were components and you have to imagine that the components were representing sort of real building materials and that's the way you should always face your modeling in SketchUp. The scale is going to be important, if you're working close into something then it might be the nuts and bolts and the individual pieces of timber that make up something or it might be if you're working in a far away scale that the entire skyscraper is going to be a component. One way or another however, everything needs to be sort of contained either as a component or alternatively as a group.
