- [Instructor] By default SketchUp allows one active section plane but there is a workaround for this. We can place one section plane within a group and one outside of the group. So first I'll group together my entire model. I'll go to edit, select all, and now I can right click make group. Next I'll double click into the group that I just created so that I can set my first section plane. Now go to tools, section plane to set one. And I'd actually like to set it from the back. I'll click on the back wall to place it. I'll go ahead and let SketchUp name it and choose ok. Now I can move my section plane into place with the move tool and for move and move it into place. Click and release to set it. Next I need to get out of the group to set another one. So hit space bar and click out into some white space. I'll do the same action from outside the group.
