- Having already taken a look at the default lighting or sunlight tools that I like to call them in V-Ray Next for SketchUp, what we're going to take a look at here is another daylight simulation option that we have available, this being the V-Ray Dome light. To create one of these, all we need do is follow some familiar creations steps by coming to the V-Ray lights tool bar, clicking on the Dome light option and then after jumping in to the top view port, left clicking once in there. To see how this is working, let's take a render of what we have from the zero one camera. Now instantly we will see a few interesting things going on here in that, first of all the Dome light doesn't need to have any GI systems turned on in order to create a fuller than usual all around lighting effect in an environment.
