V-Ray light types: Omni
- [Instructor] Creating the Omni light that we will be looking at in this video is as easy as coming to the light toolbar, selecting the Omni icon, and then using a single left click in the scene. Just like that we have created an Omni light that is ready to work with once we have it positioned where we want in the scene of course. After which we can go ahead and take a test render so as to take a look at the kind of illumination that this light type is giving us. With what we see, not unsurprisingly, given the name of the light type we're using, being light that travels in every direction with the emission pattern being very clear, whereby we have a bright spot in the center where the point light source is at its brightest, but then as we travel away from that center we get a nice inverse square falloff or light decay affect. Something that if we just pull the camera back a little and then render again can be seen even more…
