- [Instructor] Having already looked at using both the Rectangle and Sphere lights, time to continue our exploration of V-Ray's more artificial light types by taking a look next at the Spot Light option. The first thing that we will again need to do is add a Spot Light to the scene. And so let's come to the Lights toolbar, select the Spot Light option and then perform a left-click in the scene in order to complete the creation process. If needed, we can reposition the light so as to have it sitting just where we want. After which we can go ahead and take a test render. With the look that we get from a Spot Light being very unique with the expected circle or spot of light showing up very clearly. We also see, because the Spot is a focused light type, that we only get a very fixed area of illumination with lots of completely dark areas showing up in the render.
