- [Instructor] As well as being able to make use of V-Ray scene files in V-Ray for SketchUp these days, something else that we can make use of are the .vrmesh and .abc formats with the latter being the file extension for alembic cache files. Better still is the fact that we don't need to search through these file types on storage media using a time wasting import check and then delete process inside of SketchUp as we can, instead, make use of an external program provided by Chaos Group called the V-Ray Mesh Viewer, an application that supports the viewing of both static and animated V-Ray mesh and alembic cache files. The executable father viewer is installed by default to the C Program Files Chaos Group V-Ray SketchUp Extension and Tools folders. Where once clicked we find ourselves instantly presented with a choose VR Mesh dialog meaning all we need do now is navigate to the folder or folders that contain our V-Ray Mesh…
