A primer on exposure values

- Whilst long time users of Vray are probably quite familiar with using real world camera control such as the F number, shutter speed, and film speed options to control the exposure of a render. What some of us may not be quite so familiar with are the exposure values, or EV's that the camera in Vray Next for Sketchup now uses as a default brightness control. An exposure value being just a quick and easy way for a camera user to describe the amount of light that is present in any given environment. Once that level has been measured, and an exposure value established, then an EV number can be used to automatically dial in the necessary exposure settings for us Giving us, theoretically speaking, the best possible exposure for the shot that we want.
