The spring retainer pin
- Chapter 305, we are now going to make the final bits of the lower section. This is the spring retainer pin. Let's have a little look at the PDF for some dimensions. So, here we are. This is the pin. This is where it sits in this piece. It's 71mm in total, and it's made up of a series of cylinders and there's a thinning bit which is kind of offset and chamfered in. We'll use a similar technique that we used for the top of the spring for this. But we need to concentrate on these dimensions: three mm, and a three mm gap, 27mm, three mm gap, 27mm, three mm gap, and then three mm again. This is four mm in diameter, and if we remember those bits. We can pop back but this thinning bit is only 0.75 in, and it steps in half a mm there. Okay, so it's all quite simple. We'll start off by drawing it, we'll draw it along the green axis. So with our circle tool, we'll use the back arrow this time.
