Aligning objects to axes

- [Instructor] Editing objects that are not aligned with the axes can be difficult. Because we use the axes to draw precisely. Learn a quick tip for editing any surface to the axes regardless of its position. We need to add a window to this front wall. You will notice this house is not aligned with the axes. Get into edit mode by double clicking on the wall, zoom in with your scroll wheel and activate the line tool. Shortcut L or click the pencil icon. Try to draw a window that is six feet long and four feet high. Okay, well this is hard because you can not lock in the axes. Get out of your command and right click anywhere on the wall. We still need to be in edit mode to do this. Arrow down to align the axes. The axes are now aligned to your wall. Now draw the window using the axes.
