Drawing a floor plan

- [Instructor] Picking up from the import and prep video, we are now going to trace over this newly-imported and scaled floor plan image. If we begin tracing over it, we'll quickly see that we can no longer see the reference image below. So I'll need to turn on X-ray mode, and that's found under View, Facestyle, X-ray. The plan will lighten, because we can now see through it. But we can also see through any geometry that we draw on top of it. So using the dimensions referenced below, we're going to use the line tool to follow the plan, working our way around each corner. Be sure to keep aligned with the axis when appropriate, which it is for all of these lines, because there are no angled walls or curves. We're going to work our way around until we reach the beginning and a shape is created. So I'm going to get my line tool, L for line, and I'll zoom in on one corner and click and release to start.
