Eraser tool

- [Instructor] The eraser tool is a great way to delete geometry, groups or components, and guide lines from your model. Activate the eraser tool by clicking on the eraser icon or the keyboard shortcut, letter e. To erase an edge, you can click and release on the edge or you can click and drag your cursor across the edge. You'll notice that once you erase an edge on this cube, the face also disappears because that edge was holding in that face. The cube on the right is part of a group, which is explained in another video but in short, a group is a protective barrier around the geometry that keeps it together. If I click and drag my eraser tool across the group, the entire group will be deleted. It's important to note that the eraser tool does not erase faces. The only way to erase a face is to either delete one or more of the edges that is holding it in or to click with the select tool on the face and hit your delete key.…
