Export in 2D and 3D
- [Instructor] To share your model with others, it's helpful to export the file so that it is easily viewed either as a 2D image or as a 3D model. To do this you can go to the File dropdown menu, Export. To export it as a 3D model, you'll likely be sharing this with another SketchUp user or to view it in another program that is compatible with one of the file types available. So I'll click on 3D Model and I can either export it here as a SketchUp model or I can change the format here to one that is compatible with a different program. If I would like to export it as a 2D image, I can go to File, Export, and select 2D Image. This is going to be a snapshot of our current view. So be sure that you're viewing your model just as you would like it to export with your camera settings, your shadows, styles, et cetera.
