Making groups

- [Instructor] Grouping geometry is an important part of a good SketchUp workflow. It gives geometry a protective barrier. For example, if I decide I'd like to draw a cabinet in this space here, and then I'd like to move it, it's going to create a bit of a sticky mess. So I need to give my walls a protective barrier, and my cabinet a protective barrier. So I'm going to undo that. And first, before I draw anything on top of these walls, again, I need to group it so they have something to protect that geometry. To group these walls, first I'll need to select all of the geometry. I can use the Select tool, which is our Spacebar, to click and drag a box around this to select all of the geometry. Or, I can use my Select tool to triple click, one, two, three, and that selects all of the touching loose geometry. Now I can right click and choose Make Group.
