Match photos
- [Instructor] Match Photo enables you to use a photo as a starting point, by essentially tracing the image to draw an object. This video is a quick start guide to a tool with amazing capabilities. For this exercise, we will create this table in SketchUp using Photo-Matching. There are a few variables that go into choosing an image that will work with Match Photo. You can read more about it on help.sketchup.com, but know that items at a 45 degree angle like this one, usually work best. Open a blank SketchUp file. I am in SketchUp 2020. To photo match or Match Photo the table, we need to insert the image as a Match Photo. On a Windows computer, go to camera and choose Match New Photo. Another way to do this is under the file menu, import, choose the image and make sure you're using the image as a new matched photo and click import. On a Mac, you will go to Window Match Photo.
