- [Instructor] Sometimes we need an object to be moved in or out of a group, but remain in the exact same spot. We will practice this by creating a gutter with existing objects that do not begin in the same group. In our exercise file, we have an intricate flat roof with parapet. Click the Zoomed in scene tab to see our task. We will use the Follow Me tool with this profile to follow along the fascia, creating a gutter around the roof line. With the Follow Me tool, both the profile face and the path of edges need to be in the same group. But these objects are in separate groups. Let me show you a quick example of what I mean. Then we will create the gutter together. Hopefully you know that the Follow Me tool requires two things, a face or profile to extrude and a path of edges for the extrusion. We know how to identify an object as grouped by clicking on it one time and seeing the edges, but not the faces highlighted…
