Rotating an object

- [Instructor] When we need to rotate an object in SketchUp, there are two basic ways to do that. The first one is the Move tool. You can click on the Move tool here, or the keyboard shortcut letter M. When I hover over objects in SketchUp, I can see that I'm presented with a red plus signs on the face of the bounding box. These will allow me to move these objects with a center pivot point. So if I were to click and release, I can see that they're moving with a pivot point in the middle of the object. It's a common mistake when pivoting to pivot too close to the center of that rotate wheel, and for your objects to go something like this, which can be frustrating. So to remedy that, be sure to swing your cursor wider, and rotate along the outside of the wheel using the tick marks as a guide. I can click and release to set it down, or I can type in an angle.
