Tape Measure tool

- [Instructor] The tape measure tool is a multifunctional tool that will allow you to measure, set guidelines, and resize models. To measure anything in your model, active the tape measure tool by clicking on this tape measure icon here or the keyboard shortcut, letter t. You can measure things a few different ways. Hover over an edge and you'll see a yellow box appear with the edge length. The same is true for faces with information on square footage. If you'd like to know the distance between two points, click and release on the starting point of your measurement, and then hover over the endpoint, and you can see a yellow box appear with your measurement. Often times, it's helpful to create a guideline. In SketchUp, there are guidelines and there are guide points. To create a guideline, using the tape measure tool, click and release on the edge, which is indicated by a red square. Move your cursor outwards and…
