A circle has 24 sides

- [Instructor] Did you know a circle has 24 sides? Well, in SketchUp it does. What that means is you can change the sides of a circle to create any shape you'd like. You cannot create a true continuous circle in SketchUp. Instead, we get a series of edges put together to create curves. Let me show you what I mean. Activate the circle tool. Notice in your VCB, it reads sides 24. Click release and move your move. The VCB says that the circle wants a radius, so type in half the circle size you want. I will type in 100 feet. Notice how the circle is actually just a series of edges coming together, welded together, if you will to make a circle. Let's try making another circle. Before you click, change the sides to 60. Now create the circle. This circle is smoother. There are more edges creating the circle, so it appears to almost be a true circle. We can make other shapes with the circle tool. Let's try making a…
