- [Presenter] It's true that the job application forms appear to be almost identical from job to job, company to company, but don't for a minute think that it's any less important than your resume or other documents. You should know that the job application is a legal document because it's used for a variety of purposes. It must be a complete and truthful accounting of your employment history, educational background, degrees, qualifications, references and other requested personal information. Whether you completed the application online or hard copy, read the entire form before you begin writing. It's a bugger to have to start over or worse yet submit a sloppy or incomplete form that's guaranteed to be tossed. There are laws about what can be asked in the hiring process from application through interviews. The process must be free from discrimination under federal, state and local employment laws.
