- [Instructor] Deploy means a lot of things to different organizations, but put simply, it's a set of steps that have to happen to get the software running in production. Since the steps get run for every deploy, it only makes sense to automate them. The tool that I recommend for automating deploy workflows and processes is Rundeck. Rundeck started as an open-source project from Damon Edwards and the DTO Solutions team. DTO is the first true DevOps consultant practice and helped DevOps grow in the early years. They found themselves going to client after client, building the same workflow automation tooling. Let's open up rundeck.org. There is the free, open-source version that I have here, and then there's also the pro version.
