- [Narrator] There's one avenue for finding a job we haven't touch on yet, recruiters, which brings up the basic question, "Should you use a recruiter?" Before you can answer that question, there are a few things to know. The first is to understand that there are different types of recruiters. Generally speaking, recruiters are paid by companies to locate qualified job candidates. A corporate recruiter, sometimes called an internal recruiter, is an employee of the company that is looking for employees to fill specific roles. There are a few advantages of working with an internal recruiter. Because they are employees of the company, they intimately know the job they're hiring for so they can answer all of your questions from personal knowledge. They can tell you about the company culture and what it's like to work for the company. They may be more involved in the actual hiring process and have a vested interest in finding the best employee.
