Setting up your Cloud SQL database

- [Instructor] In this video, we are going to create a Cloud SQL database, so that we can use it with an application we are building. We have to do this through the Google Cloud Platform or GCP. Cloud.google.com is a good starting point if you are not already familiar with GCP. In order to use the platform you will need to have a Google account if you do not have one already. We can see that I am logged in based on the icon in the top right hand corner. Refer to GCP's documentation on how to set up your Google account and maintain your billing account. Once logged in, we will need to access the GCP console which is the command center for the platform. From this site, we can navigate to the console by clicking console in the top right hand corner. You can also go directly to console.cloud.google.com to access this as well. In the top left hand corner is the project selector to see all projects available to you.…
