Enable acts and sequences
- [Instructor] Enable acts allows you to break up a script into larger chunks than scenes. As we discussed in another video, live-action has scenes for each location and shots within each scene. Animation considers every cut to be a new scene. But you can group those scenes together into sequences generally by location. So sequences in animation are much like scenes in live-action, but sometimes sequences are considered to be a chunk of a script that stands on its own like a funeral or a chase either could cover multiple locations, but we could still consider it as one big sequence. Acts give us yet another way to break up a script in both live-action and animation. Scripts are generally broken down into a three, four or five act structure. And that's where the story takes a big turn, but breaking your storyboard into acts doesn't have to follow the script rules. If you're given two large sections of a script or…
