- [Instructor] When you're working with custom states, a great way to save time is by using the Format Painter to copy and paste your states between multiple objects. For example, we have this button here which has been customized with these different states. To copy the states from this button to the other two that we have here, let's start by selecting it and double-clicking on the Format Painter from the home tab in the ribbon. You'll notice that a paintbrush has been added to our cursor and this means that the Format Painter is turned on. Next, we'll click on these buttons here to paste the formatting along with the states copied from the first button. Finally, click on the Format Painter button once more to turn it off. And that's how you can use the Format Painter to copy and paste states in Storyline.
