Importing a PowerPoint deck

- [Instructor] Let's be honest. A lot of the time, the e-learning we're asked to build is, well, it's pretty simple. So simple that PowerPoint is the perfect tool. All we need to do is take our branded PowerPoint template our company uses, add some content, maybe a few quiz questions and call it good. The cool thing is you can import that PowerPoint deck right into Storyline. So let me show you how to do that. Okay, so here we are with our pretty much blank Storyline file. The first thing I want to do is make sure the story size of the Storyline project I'm importing into is the same size as the PowerPoint. So I'll go up to design here. We'll go to story size. And then yes, we can say this is 69. The PowerPoint is 69. Really important to ensure that's the case. Okay, let's go get that PowerPoint deck. We'll go to the home tab, new slide, import and then import PowerPoint. Grab our deck, few things I want to point out here. So by default, everything is being selected. You also have an option into what Storyline scene you want to put it into. The default is new scene. I almost always do current scene and I'll select import. Great, now my PowerPoint deck is in Storyline and I can get busy adding any content I want to it. After I added the content, all I'd have to do is publish it and upload it to my LMS. Storyline plays very well with PowerPoint and inserting your branded deck into Storyline is probably the easiest way to get started with e-learning.
