Three-step process for using variables

- [Instructor] Storyline makes working with variables easy. In fact, it's so easy it's a three-step process. The first step is to create that variable. And that means choosing the type of variable, giving that variable a name, and then determining whatever starting value or default value that variable has after you've created it. You need to adjust it. Now we actually have the trigger for adjusting variables called adjust variables. Now, often this is a user event meaning that the user clicks or does something and then the variable gets adjusted, but it could be an event based on anything, the timeline ending a score below a certain percentage or anything like that. Once it's adjusted, you want to use the variable. Now a simple use case would just be to present the value back to the learner. So if you type in a name and then you show the name in the context of the course, that's a simple use case. A more advanced use…
