Use variables to track learner choices
- [Instructor] Okay, we have our characters set up. We've got some basic formatting and some playful visual changes on the state changes. And now it's time to set up that variable, which will be used to track which character has been selected. So let's go ahead and just create that variable. So head on over here to the triggers panel at the far right, we want to open up our project variables and you can see, we don't have any variables yet set up. So let's go ahead and create one. So click the green icon, the green plus sign for the new variable. Now I'm going to call my variable character, but I want to encourage you to use whatever variable name means something to you. So for example, when you're first getting started with variables, sometimes it's helpful to use a longer phrase or even a sentence, meaning we're asking the learn to choose your own character or which character did they select?
